Using technology to demonstrate impact

The Transport Systems Hub will talk about how innovative uses of technology can be used to deliver research impact at a seminar on Wednesday 1 May 2013.

The session, entitled Research in a digital age: perspectives from the Transport Systems Hub, will begin with an introduction from Dr Neil Morris, the University's academic lead for digital learning, who has been supporting the technology work of the hub and will outline the advantages of harnessing technology and digital media to demonstrate research impact to external stakeholders. 

There will then be a presentation from Ms Tamara Bloom, the Transport Systems Hub's KT technologist who has been working on the EPSRC-funded project for just over a year.  Tamara will describe some of the outputs from the hub, including researcher interviews, a TEDx event, recordings of research seminars, use of social media channels and a multimedia eBook. 

Colleagues from across the University who are keen to increase their external presence using technology are encouraged to attend this event, which will take place:
