Teaching and research 'Spotlight' series launched

Welcome to 'Spotlight', a series of videos and articles showcasing new and innovative activities in student education and research at the University of Leeds.

The focus of Spotlight will change on a regular basis (every few weeks).  Within a topic each week a different speaker will share their thoughts and practice; so it is worth coming back to Spotlight every week.  The series aims to highlight a variety of approaches and technologies adopted by colleagues to achieve their academic goals together with information and guidance for those who want to learn more.

Spotlight begins with a focus on open educational resources (OERs).  Over the next few weeks you will be able to hear institutional perspectives from Professor Viv Jones (Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Student Education) and Dr Neil Morris (Chair of BLLTIG) together with case studies of creating and using OERs from Antonio Martínez-Arboleda, Carole Kirk, Dr Dave Lewis, and Dr James Pickering.  In addition, there will be links to guidance on using and creating OERs.

In March Spotlight will highlight social media and how it is being used in both student education and research.
