Professor Mike Wilson
Professor Mike Wilson, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physical Science (MaPS) has announced that he is to leave the University before the end of this academic year.
Professor Wilson has accepted the position of Pro-Vice-Chancellor for the Faculties of Science, Engineering, and Architecture and Design at the Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand.
“It has been a privilege to be Dean of MaPS and I am grateful for all the opportunities it has given me, not least being the chance to work with so many talented people,” said Professor Wilson. "I will be taking up my new position from July 2013, and will continue in post as Dean for as long as required to effect a smooth transition to my successor. I look forward to working with colleagues and students for the remainder of my tenure at Leeds.”
