Download Leeds’ mobile apps

The University is launching two new mobile apps - UniLeeds and Mobile Learn are now available to download on Android, iPhone and BlackBerry devices.

UniLeeds brings together a number of key services and systems. The first version of UniLeeds features personalised timetables and Library records, and also includes a staff directory, campus maps, University news, computer cluster availability and content from LUU.

Once the app has downloaded, information from help@leeds is available offline – a feature that will be invaluable in helping students stay safe and well.

Access to personal content is secured with ISS user IDs. More general content is available to all, making UniLeeds useful for a wider audience.

Mobile Learn gives staff and students instant access to the VLE. You can communicate with students using announcements and discussions; add documents, images and multimedia files from your smartphone, tablet device or Dropbox; set student tasks (and see when they have started and completed them); and show students their grades in the VLE’s Grade Centre.

You can also use a web browser to create mobile-compatible formative tests then upload them to Mobile Learn. Students will be able to take the tests using Apple iOS and Android devices as well as standard web browsers.

For more information, including links to the apps in the app stores, please visit www.leeds.ac.uk/mobileapps

The choice of content and services in both apps was based on student feedback gathered from a Library survey.

If you have enquiries about the apps, please contact ISS Helpdesk (helpdesk@leeds.ac.uk or call 33333).
