University researchers receive Arts Fellowships

Professor Stuart Taberner and Dr Helen Finch (both School of Modern Languages & Cultures) have been awarded Fellowships by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).

Just seven new Fellowships have been announced this year by the AHRC, with awarded Fellows to undertake focused individual research projects alongside research leadership development, training and engagement activities which have the potential to generate impact within academia and beyond.

Collectively, Professor Taberner and Dr Finch have been awarded just under £175,000 for their research projects. Professor Taberner’s research will look at German-language literature and transnationalism, whilst Dr Finch will be looking into the politics of transmission of Holocaust testimony in the German cultural field.

Through the lifetime of the award they will also act as advocates for the value and benefit of arts and humanities research to the public beyond academia.
