Impact workshops for researchers

SDDU is running a series of staged workshops on 'Impact' for research council grant applications, beginning in January 2013.

Stage 1: What do Research Councils want in Impact sections of grant applications?

This first set of three workshops will look at the information and guidance that the Research Councils have produced. Two of the sessions will focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines and one will focus on Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (AHSS) disciplines:

Stage 2: Exploring Successful Pathways to Impact

This follow-on session will give you the opportunity to discuss three successful approaches to writing about impact in grant applications with the academics who wrote them.

Stage 3: Producing Impact sections for Research Council grant applications

This workshop will focus on the development of your own Pathways to Impact and Impact Summaries.

Workshops in stage 2 and 3 will run in March, April and May; dates of which will be advertised nearer the time.

Please note, you can choose to attend workshops at any stage of the programme depending on your needs and attendance at an earlier stage is not a pre-requisite for attending later stages.
