Commendation for Professor John R.G. Turner
Professor John R.G. Turner (School of French Language & Culture and Institute of Integrative & Comparative Biology) was nominated as one of five winners of this year's Times Stephen Spender Prize.
This materialised as a formal Commendation under the terms of the prize for Poetry in Translation for his version of Paul Verlaine's poem Classic Walpurgisnacht.
It is Professor Turner's fifth commendation in this annual competition.
