Fresh look for www.leeds.ac.uk

Visitors to the University of Leeds corporate homepage will be greeted by a new-look design from this week.

It is part of a series of changes to undergraduate-related pages across the site, which are being introduced to improve the user experience and address the needs of prospective students.

The University’s communications department used web statistics to identify which pages were most heavily used for undergraduate recruitment and which facilities required more prominence on the site. The updates have been delivered in consultation with marketing and the design and development has been carried out by the IT Services web team.

A new feature which will run across the whole site is a larger footer, including logos and text to highlight some of the University’s achievements. It also includes large social media icons to promote our presence on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Design and layout changes are being made to the corporate homepage and the undergraduate homepage and we have reworded some of the pages most visited by prospective students, including the Choosing Leeds page. The Faculties page is also changing to become simpler and more user-friendly.

Further updates will be made to the site in the coming months. Please check For Staff for any future announcements.
