Ebru: the art of marbling

In connection with the book illustration exhibition ‘Austerity and Invention: Illustration between the Wars’, the Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery invite you to learn the ancient craft of marbling.

Marbling is an ancient craft that has captivated Turkish sultanas and French peasants, Victorian bookbinders, and Japanese emperors. In this workshop, participants will be able to create their own beautiful patterns with the help of marbling artist Bade Kafadar.
