Sir Geoffrey Hill reads his poetry at Leeds

On Tuesday 16 October the University Poetry Centre will host a reading by Sir Geoffrey Hill to mark two important occasions - Sir Geoffrey's 80th birthday and the Library's acquisition of his archive.

Sir Geoffrey taught in the School of English at the University of Leeds from 1954 to 1980 and was instrumental in establishing the department's Poetry Room. We are delighted to welcome him back to Leeds for what promises to be a very special event.

The reading will be held in the Rupert Beckett lecture theatre from 6pm to 7.15pm.
