The Global Community Team is seeking students who would make excellent Intercultural Ambassadors. Can you suggest anyone who stands out as having the potential to inspire others?

The Intercultural Ambassadors Programme, run by the University in partnership with Leeds University Union, is a volunteering opportunity for UK and International students developed with funding from the Higher Education Academy and Leeds for Life.

The Programme aims to connect UK and International students from different cultural backgrounds; to increase participation in intercultural activity on campus; and to facilitate students’ development of global employability skills.

As well as benefitting from the programme as individuals, Ambassadors will receive training and support to create and develop their own intercultural activities which will enrich the experience of their fellow students.

This opportunity is open to taught and research students in any year of study.

No previous intercultural or international experience is required.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday 17 October 2012.
