Opera North is offering University staff discounted tickets for 'Pat Kirkwood is Angry' at the Howard Assembly Room on Wednesday 10 October 2012.
Legendary wartime variety star Pat Kirkwood is back on stage for one night only. Now mostly remembered for the scandal surrounding an alleged affair with HRH the Duke of Edinburgh, singer Jessica Walker (The Girl I Left Behind Me) brings to life Kirkwood’s often turbulent life though some of the 20th century’s most beautiful songs, including ‘Bewitched Bothered and Bewildered’, in this new one-woman show.
Written and performed by Jessica Walker, acclaimed mezzo soprano, currently a PhD student at the University of Leeds; directed by Lee Blakeley; musical direction by James Holmes.
