Open gallery for doodlers and sketchers
The Stanley and Audrey Burton Gallery is welcoming visitors during the University Open Day on 13 October to try their hand at sketching and illustrating in celebration of the Big Draw 2012.
Visitors will be able to peruse art books and fiction from the University Library's collection in a cosy, relaxing environment, whilst activity sheets and art supplies will be at hand to inspire budding artists, illustrators and lovers of books.
The Big Draw is the world’s biggest celebration of drawing and has grown into a month-long festival throughout October all over the UK. The campaign's long-term ambition is to change the way drawing is perceived by educationalists and the public.
