High energy public engagement
A group of PhD students helped festival-goers to experience a range of low carbon energy technologies at the Green Man Festival last weekend, through a variety of games and fun activities.

The PhD students, from the Doctoral Training Centre in Low Carbon Technologies, manned six separate energy satellites where festivals-goers - many families with children - could take part in activities and then vote on thought-provoking questions such as 'which technology should be prioritised' and 'which would you prefer in your back garden'?
This was a great opportunity for the students to communicate their research to the public and generate a debate about the future of energy resources.
