Going for Gold: the Brownlees
Today the Brownlee brothers take on the Triathlon in a bid to join the many others who have stood on the podium for Team GB.
The event, which is being held in London’s Hyde Park, consists of a 1,500m swim, followed by a 43km bike ride, finishing with a 10km run.
A gruelling test for any athlete, the brothers will be looking to secure medals for Team GB, and after coming first and second in the World and European Championships last year (Alistair first, Jonathan second) this is set to be a very exciting race!
If you’d like to tune in and watch the brothers for part of their feat, both the Edge and Terrace bar will be showing the race live as it happens from 11.30am, Tuesday 7 August.
