Successful audit by UK Border Agency

The University can renew its Highly Trusted Sponsor licence for a further year, following an audit by UK Border Agency of our compliance with the Points Based System Tier 4 for international students.

"The UKBA were satisfied with our compliance based on the information they reviewed,” said Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Student Education Professor Vivien Jones. “I’d like to thank colleagues for their help in preparing for the successful audit; I know that a lot of hard work went into making sure that our processes were as up to date as possible.”

As a result of the audit, the University will review processes around record keeping (including use of the Postgraduate Development Records for research students) and attendance monitoring, to make sure that compliance with the requirements is adhered to more consistently and comprehensively across the institution. An Action Plan has been developed which will be implemented over the coming months, helping to ensure that we retain our licence to recruit international students.
