Learning and teaching workshops

The Staff and Departmental Development Unit (SSDU) are running a series of learning and teaching workshops to help prepare postgraduates, research staff and other part-time teachers for their roles.

The introductory workshops, aimed at new teachers, are designed to provide them with the essential skills required in relation to their specific teaching. This could include leading a seminar, demonstrating, lecturing and assessing.

Further sessions are also available for those who are interested in developing their teaching practice in areas such as working with student diversity and using the University VLE in teaching.

The workshops are standalone and take place over half a day.  Spaces are available from October 2012-May 2013.
