Literary drafts and the creative process

Archivist Sarah Prescott is to host a talk at the Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery on Saturday 14 July to discuss the creative process and how archives can shed light on an author’s life and work.

Visitors will be given the opportunity to see archival material by writers and poets including the Brontës, Tony Harrison and Simon Armitage , such as letters, diaries, notebooks and drafts.

This is a great chance to discover the sheer amount of work involved in the creative process and discover how life experiences can affect how a story unfolds on paper.

On:  Saturday 14 July

At:   2-3.30pm

In:   Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery

This is a free event and all are welcome.   Seating is limited, so please arrive early.
