The University welcomes Chinese Olympic Committee
Athletes and officials from the Chinese Olympic Committee (COC) will begin arriving on campus from next week to begin their pre-Games training camp.
Members of the COC will be staying on campus and training at The Edge, as well as using facilities across the city, between 7 July and 8 August.
With the exception of the temporary closure of the Staff Centre café (read more about this) and parts of Storm Jameson Court, all other buildings on campus are open to staff and students as normal. A number of volunteers, easily identifiable in pale blue t-shirts, will be helping to facilitate the training camp as well as staff from across the Facilities Directorate.
