Appointing and managing contractors

Staff are invited to offer their feedback as part of the consultation process for the refreshed health and safety protocol on the appointment and management of contractors.

The consultation is now live.

It is a detailed reworking of the original protocol which aims to simplify and clarify existing processes and set out th enew key concepts.  The most significant change is that where work affects the fabric of a building, contractors can ONLY be appointed and managed by the Facilities Directorate - Estates.

Staff should send their feedback to safety@leeds.ac.uk by 5pm on Friday 20 July 2012.
