Fine Art degree show opens on 29 June

MA and MFA Fine Art students from the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies are exhibiting their work in 'Make / Made' at Lifton Studios from 29 June.

The title Make / Made refers to the creative act of making art and the transferable point at which a work is considered to be complete or 'Made'.  A diverse range of themes are explored amongst the work on show, such as memory, appropriation, identity, language and materiality.

Concerns regarding the value of craft and authorship are evident throughout the work of the five MA and MFA graduating artists of 2012.  The exhibition provides the public with a unique opportunity to see the developed work from the two-year full time MFA and two-year part time MA course, ranging from video, drawing and installation to performance.

The exhibition will be open:

On:   29-30 June and 2-4 July

At:   11am to 5pm

In:   Lifton Studios, 5-7 Lifton Place, Leeds
