Public health in the 21st century

Professor Dame Sally Davies, Chief Medical Officer in the Department of Health will be speaking at Leeds on Thursday 28 June about public health in the 21st century.

Dame Sally will discuss the wider social determinants of health and wellbeing, covering issues such as changing social, behavioural, economic and technological influences and their impact.  Using case studies such as alcohol, she will illustrate how our growing understanding of these determinants must be translated into action to successfully address future health challenges.
