Staff Festival charity announced
This year, we are pleased to announce that University of Leeds staff have voted Leeds Asylum Seekers’ Network (LASSN) as their official Staff Festival 2012 charity.
All proceeds from the Staff Festival 2012 will be donated to LASSN.
We contacted LASSN to tell them the good news and here is what they had to say:
“We are delighted to hear that we have been voted the Staff Festival charity for 2012. Asylum seekers are not very popular, to say the least. Given that the work of the other nominated charities is equally important, we are pleasantly surprised to have the support of staff at the University of Leeds. Thank you.” – Richie McAndrew, LASSN.
