Ms Denise Gallagher
It is with sadness that we let members know of the death, on 11 June 2012, of Ms Denise Gallagher, Senior Teaching Fellow in Accounting and Finance within the Business School.
A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Denise joined the Business School in 2002; her previous experience embraced lecturing in HE, practising as an accountant and consultancy. She took early retirement in 2009 but continued to work on a part-time basis within the School until she became ill. A popular and highly valued member of the Accounting and Finance Division, Denise maintained regular contact with her colleagues throughout her illness.
The Funeral is taking place at 2pm on Tuesday 19 June, at Bowdon Parish Church near Altrincham. Further information is available from Michelle Dickson (34359).
Donations in memory of Denise may be made to the Denise Colin Memorial Fund, c/o The Charity Service, 64 Bridge Street, Manchester, M3 3BN. The funds will be distributed to those registered charities which supported Denise throughout her illness.
In memory of Denise, the flag will be flown at half-mast on the Parkinson Building on 19 June.
