The University of Leeds Teaching Award gives part-time teachers at the University an opportunity to gain academic credits and professional recognition. Find out more, and apply for a course place.
The University of Leeds Teaching Award 1 (ULTA-1) is aimed at:
- research staff, teaching assistants and postgraduate research students who have a teaching role and who wish to pursue an academic career and/or to enhance their employability
- staff who teach part-time or as a secondary part of their role and who wish to enhance their practice.
It is delivered through a series of 8 compulsory and 3 elective interactive workshops, held from October through to March each year.
Places are limited to 28 each year, and the course is usually over-subscribed. The deadline for applications this year is close of business on Monday 16 July 2012. Places will be confirmed by Friday 3 August 2012.
