Amy's last dive

As part of the LUDUS Festival and the Cultural Olympiad, Wingbeats will perform 'Amy's Last Dive', inspired by Amy Johnson, at the Workshop Theatre on 28 and 29 June.

Amy Johnson paved the way for women today, defying the conventions of the 1930s. She flew around the world, took huge risks, and made history. Inspired by her story, Wingbeats presents a new production, composed by Cheryl Frances-Hoad and written and directed by Adam Strickson, with world-class performances and live music by top UK instrumentalists. An opera for our times, with musical influences from 1930s big band music to Lily Allen.

The performances will take place at the Workshop Theatre, on 28 and 29 June at 7.30pm. Tickets can be booked through www.stage.leeds.ac.uk
