Making Trails: dance and movement workshop with Gerry Turvey
Gerry Turvey will explore the themes of the Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery's 'Paper Trails' exhibition in a dance and movement workshop on Saturday 16 June 2012 from 1.30-4.00pm.
An unfolding journey through the artwork, engaging with the idea of treasures on paper, participants will be invited to use shape, form, pattern and sequence, as well as focusing on the qualities of paper. Short encounters and trails outside the gallery space will inform the movement work, and performances will be shared at the end of the workshop. This is a unique opportunity to create dance improvisation inspired by art.
The workshop is suitable for those aged 16+. Please wear loose comfortable clothing, and be prepared to go barefoot.
