Fourteen goals to none!
To celebrate the start of the 2012 European Football Championships, the Library's Special Collections is staging an exhibition of football-related material from 11 June to 2 July.
The exhibition will explore the historical and social development of the game through a selection of books, pamphlets, newspaper reports and magazines, from its earliest beginnings through to the present day.
The exhibition includes items from the Leeds Russian Archive, Liddle Collection (First World War), English Literature and Sport collections.
Further exhibitions in the Special Collections 'Summer of Sport' will display materials relating to other seasonal sporting events, including cricket and tennis, ahead of an exhibition for the London Olympic Games.
