Student Education Conference 2013 - call for papers

Contributions are invited for the second University of Leeds Student Education Conference (SEC2), which takes place on Friday 4 January 2013.

The theme is ‘Great Expectations’, be they the great expectations staff at Leeds have of our students, students here have of us, or the expectations that potential employers have of our students and how we can help students to meet them.

If you feel that your current practice, or a project that you have completed, helps the students you teach or support to meet their expectations, both of their time here at Leeds and of their lives after Leeds, then we would like to hear from you.

How you can take part in SEC2

  • Symposium sessions – join one of five symposium themes (employability and engagement, student support, feedback and assessment, blended learning, research-based learning)
  • Parallel sessions – join one of two sets of parallel sessions
  • Exhibition area – gain access to over 400 delegates during all programme breaks, an ideal opportunity to inform and network.

To get involved, just download the appropriate abstract pro forma from the Student Education Conference website and return it to Stephanie Stones by Friday 29 June 2012.

Keynote sessions will be delivered by Dai Hounsell, Derfel Owen and Susan Nash and will cover assessment and engagement.
