Black and Minority Ethnic staff network meeting – 24 May 2012

Are you a member of staff from a black or minority ethnic background? Would you like to be involved in a staff network that makes a positive contribution to the experience of staff and students?

Come along to the next staff network meeting to find out further information. The University of Leeds black and minority ethnic (BME) staff network was established in July 2011.  It has a remit for providing staff with opportunities to network,  encourage peer led support and a focus for discussion on staff and student ethnicity related issues. The network meets every three months and welcomes new members.

BME staff at the University of Leeds

As of January 2012, 802 staff declared their ethnicity as black or minority ethnic, a total of 11% of the University workforce.  To find out further information on the breakdown of staff and student by equality groups such as gender, disability, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion or caring responsibilities please visit the equality website.
