Last chance to enter the Environmental Awards
As well as celebrating Green Impact, the Sustainable Development team would like this year's Environmental Awards to also recognise colleagues' achievements in five key areas.
The award categories are: Energy saving; Waste and recycling; Biodiversity; Sustainable travel; and Education for Sustainable Development. If you'd like to nominate a colleague, or you yourself have done something you'd like to share with others, please send entries to sustainabilty@leeds.ac.uk.
Nominations must be received by the 25 May, with the awards held on the 14 June.
Further details on the awards can be found at the Sustainability website. You don't have to have taken part in Green Impact to nominate or colleague or be nominated yourself for these awards.
We're also asking for nominations for 'Outstanding Student Contribution' to Green Impact this year. So, if you're part of a Green Impact team which includes a student, or you received help from a Green Impact Project Assistant and you think their hard work and enthusiasm deserves recognition, nominate them!
Entries for the student contribution award should be no longer than 250 words and can be supported by additional evidence such as photos. Again, nominations must be received by 25 May.
