Dr Roy Hullin

Colleagues will be sorry to learn of the death, on 6 May 2012, of Dr Roy Hullin, former Reader in the Department of Biochemistry.

Dr Hullin came to the University in 1947 on an MRC Grant in the Department of Biochemistry.  During his long career at Leeds he held positions as ICI Fellow (1949), Lecturer (1951), Senior Lecturer (1964) and then Reader (1970), which was the position he held until his retirement in 1989.  Dr Hullin was appointed Chairman of the Leeds Magistrate's Bench in 1986.

The funeral service will be held at St John's Church, Back Church Lane, Adel, LS16 8DW, on Wednesday 16 May at 3.00pm, followed by cremation at Lawnswood Crematorium at 3.30pm.  There are to be family flowers only: if desired donations in memory of Roy may be given to MIND for which purpose a collection plate will be available at the Church.

As a mark of respect to Dr Hullin, the flag will be flown at half-mast on the Parkinson Building on the day of the funeral.
