George Barker
Colleagues will be sorry to learn of the death of former Porter, Mr George Barker, on 13 April 2012.
Mr Barker was appointed in 1982 and initially worked in the Department of Adult Education Building before transferring to the Worsley Building. He retired in 2004 after twenty years' service to the University.
The funeral service will be held at St Benedict's R.C. Church, Garforth, on Tuesday 24 April at 10.45am followed by Private Committal. There are to be family flowers only: if desired donations in memory of George may be given to Prostate Cancer Research for which purpose a collection plate will be available at the service.
As a mark of respect to Mr Barker, the flag will be flown at half-mast on the Parkinson Building on the day of the funeral.
