Carousel is the moving love story between charismatic Billy Bigelow and Julie Jordan. In trying to provide for his family Billy falls in with the wrong crowd and dies during a robbery that goes wrong. Fifteen years after his death, he is given one day to redeem his soul and chooses to seek out his rebellious teenage daughter. Billy reaches out to her, but is it too little too late?
This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to see this classic American Broadway musical performed by a renowned company, Opera North, with the newly-discovered original orchestration. It is a true representation of Rodgers and Hammerstein's original work, being performed by the full Orchestra of Opera North and top quality professional singers.
