Timetabling project update - March/April 2012

Following discussions with the Pro-Deans for Student Education, it has been decided that the next phase of consultation on aspects of the proposed timetabling model should be temporarily put on hold.

The decision was taken in light of the process changes which are under discussion as part of the Student Education Service development and the Pro-Deans' view that the current system works in the main satisfactorily.

It is recognised that improvements would undoubtedly be made once the proposal is reconsidered, and it is expected that a fuller discussion of the proposed new model will take place following the implementation of functional leads and teams in the faculties.
