Ferrier Award winner to perform at Leeds

Kitty Whately, winner of the 2011 Ferrier Award competition at the Wigmore Hall and a student of the Royal College of Music International Opera School is to sing at Leeds on 25 March.

The Kathleen Ferrier Awards are the most prestigious awards for young singers in the UK.  Leeds Lieder+ is delighted to welcome mezzo-soprano Kitty Whately to the Clothworkers' Centenary Concert Hall on Sunday 25 March 2012 at 3pm.

Accompanied by Christopher Glynn (piano), she will present a programme entitled A Woman's Journey, to include works by Schumann, Wolf, Schubert, Debussy and Aaron Copland.
