Mrs Lynda Ofner
We are very sorry to report the death, on 27 January 2012, of Mrs Lynda Ofner former Senior Administrative Officer in the School of Biomedical Sciences.
Lynda Ofner joined the University in 1988 as a clerk in the Department of Earth Sciences. In 1991 she became the Departmental Secretary in the Department of Physiology, a post she retained until the establishment of the new School of Biomedical Sciences. Within that School she was appointed as Administrative Officer in 1999 and was subsequently promoted to Senior Administrative Officer in 2004. A very well-liked colleague, Lynda took early retirement in 2006 after eighteen years' service to the University.
The funeral service will be held at 1.00pm on Tuesday 7 February 2012 at Lawnswood Crematorium, Otley Road, LS16 8AA. There are to be family flowers only, please. Donations to either St Gemma's Hospice or the PDSA will be welcome.
Mrs Ofner is survived by her husband, Heinz, and children, Lisa and Marc.
The flag on the Parkinson Building will be at half-mast on the day of the funeral.
