Charles Dickens anniversary talk
To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens, the Brotherton Library is mounting a special display of his work and the Burton Gallery has organised an accompanying talk.
Christine Chettle and Simone Lomartire from the School of English will talk about the printed works and correspondence, held in the Library's Special Collections, as well as discussing opportunities for original scholarly research.
After the talk, there will be a chance to view the display and take a closer look at rare material from the collections.
The talk will take place:
On: Tuesday 7 February 2012
At: 5.15-6.15pm
In: Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery
The talk is free and no booking is necessary, but please arrive early as space is limited.
