Two Leeds lecturers in teacher of the year finals

Two academics from the Faculty of Biological Sciences have made it into the top five shortlist for the Society of Biology's 'Biological Science Higher Education Teacher of the Year' award.

Dr Dave Lewis, senior lecturer in neuroscience and bioethics, and Dr Neil Morris, senior lecturer, have both made it to the final shortlist.

The award, launched by the UK Centre for Bioscience, supported by the Society of Biology and sponsored by Oxford University Press, recognises outstanding learning and teaching practice in the biosciences.

The winner will be announced in May 2012.
