Prestigious appointment for Professor Barry Clarke
Barry Clarke, Professor of Civil Engineering Geotechnics has been elected as President of the Institution of Civil Engineers, a professional body which represents nearly 80,000 members worldwide.
Professor Clarke will give his inaugural lecture as President on 6 November 2012.
As President of the Institution, Professor Clarke will visit its members both in the UK and overseas and will meet with government representatives, employers, NGOs, and universities.
