Learning and teaching workshop programme published

From January to May 2012 SDDU will be running a series of learning and teaching workshops aimed at postgraduates, research staff and other part-time teachers.

These half-day workshops are an introductory set of stand-alone workshops designed for postgraduates who teach at the University.  The content of the workshops is aligned to the UK Professional Standards for Teaching and Supporting Learning in Higher Education and the University Code of Practice for Postgraduate Research Students Engaged in Teaching.  The workshops are specifically aimed at those who are new to teaching and designed to prepare them for the role by providing them with the essential skills required in relation to their specific teaching duties - i.e. tutoring, demonstrating, lecturing and assessing.

How to book

Postgraduates should check that there is not an alternative departmental or faculty session already arranged (see timetable on www.sddu.leeds.ac.uk/sddu-lt-pgpt.html).

Follow the link www.sddu.leeds.ac.uk/sddu-lt-pgpt.html to the booking pages and select the relevant courses
