Award recognition for Leeds researcher

Dr Laura Coates, a PhD student at Leeds until last year and now an honorary research fellow at the Leeds Institute of Molecular Medicine, has won the UK Scopus Award in Biological Sciences 2011.

The Award, given in association with the UK-US Fulbright Commission, recognises Laura's research into psoriatic arthritis and spondyloarthritides.

Laura will be presented with the award by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Michael Arthur, himself a former Fulbright Scholar and now a commissioner of the US-UK Fulbright Commission, at a ceremony at the Royal Society on 22 November.
