Big Match Appeal – The results
The Big Match Appeal, run by Alumni, ended in July 2011 and the results are in on the total donated and the total matched.
Between 2008 and 2011, the Government's Matched Funding Scheme for Universities meant that every £3 donated by alumni was worth £4 to Leeds, or up to £5 if donors were UK taxpayers, thanks to the UK Gift Aid Scheme.
The results are now in and the total value of donations made came to an impressive £1,202,248 with an additional matched funding of £400,749.
