Laptop encryption pilot: volunteers needed

The University has extended its laptop encryption pilot until the end of this calendar year and is seeking approximately 80 volunteers to participate in this exercise.

Volunteers should be using a Microsoft OS laptop at least once week in order to be eligible to take part. The software, which encrypts the whole hard disk of a laptop when it is shut down, is free (usual cost £100) and can be retained by the volunteers after completion of the pilot. For more information please contact Kevin Darley, IT Security Co-ordinator on ext 31118 or via email at k.j.darley@leeds.ac.uk
