School of Law celebrates its 2nd century

The School of Law is holding a public lecture as part of its second century celebrations, marked by its move to the new Liberty Building.

Staff and students are invited to Professor Justin O'Brien's lecture on 'The Battle of Ideas in Global Capital Markets: Integrating the Technical and the Normative Dimensions of Regulatory Policy'.

Professor O'Brien visits the School of Law as a Second Century Fellow of the Centre for Business Law and Practice, and will give his talk on theoretical perspectives of regulatory policy in capital markets. He has published extensively in the areas of regulatory policy, corporate governance, and business ethics. He has held a number of academic posts and currently teaches at the University of New South Wales, Sydney.

The lecture will be of interest to academics, students and practitioners with interests in financial markets, company law, regulation and governance, including corporate governance.
