The family have indicated that it is not necessary to wear black at the funeral.  Those attending are invited to join the family members at the Lawnswood Arms afterwards. In order to help the family gauge numbers, those proposing to be at the funeral and gathering afterwards are invited to contact Helen Pickersgill in the Secretariat (tel 34036).

Professor Katrina Honeyman had been Professor of Social and Economic History in the School of History since 2008. Originally appointed to the University in 1979, Professor Honeyman enjoyed an international reputation for her publications on gender history, the history of local and regional industries (notably the textile trades) and the history of child labour. Sadly, ill-health had compelled her early retirement in July 2011.
