French Ambassador visit

The newly-appointed French Ambassador to the UK, Bernard Emié, is visiting French at the School of Modern Languages and Cultures on 20 October.

He will give a talk (in French) in the afternoon to French students on the theme of 'Franco-British relations' and this will be followed by a reception on the French floor of the Michael Sadler Building, where the Ambassador will have a chance to meet French students and staff.

This visit builds on our excellent relationship with the French Embassy and is a chance to emphasise the importance of French at Leeds as a major centre for teaching and research both nationally and internationally.
