Life-drawing with Karen Babayan

A life-drawing workshop at the Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery from 12-4pm on Saturday 15 October will explore a variety of different approaches and techniques.

Drawing is a skill that can be learnt and drawing from the figure presents a new challenge.  Life-drawing is the traditional cornerstone of art training and is a meaningful discipline that artists return to again and again.

Karen Babayan's workshop will explore a variety of different approaches and techniques from eye to hand coordination to measured drawing; from markmaking to surface texture and shape to analytical studies of light and shade, and finally to working with movement and gesture in drawing.

The workshop is free, but places are limited so please book your place in advance by e-mailing Zsuzsa, by telephoning (0113) 343 2777, or online.

A nude model will be present at the workshop.
