Workshop in honour of Professor Malcolm Sawyer

In honour of Professor Malcolm Sawyer, a workshop followed by a dinner at Casa Mia in Millenium Square is being held at Leeds on 5 October.

The workshop follows the publication of the book "Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and Economic Policy: Essays in Honour of Malcolm Sawyer".

The workshop will be introduced by Professor Peter Moizer, Dean of the Business School, and Professor Guiseppe Fontana, Head of the Economics Division.

Dr Gary Slater - Bradford University School of Management
Professor Jan Toporowski - SOAS, University of London

The programme for the workshop will be:

1.00 - 2.00 - Light refreshments
2.00 - 2.15 - A welcome from the Dean of Leeds University Business School
2.15 - 2.30 - A brief introduction from the Head of Economics at Leeds
2.30 - 5.30 - The main speakers, closing with Philip Arestis presenting the book to Malcolm
7.00 onwards - Dinner at "Casa Mia" in the city centre
