Fellowship for Professor Theo Raynor

Theo Raynor, Professor of Pharmacy Practice in the School of Healthcare, has been designated as a Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.

Professor Raynor became Inaugural Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Leeds in 2000, after 20 years in hospital pharmacy practice.

His research into consumer medicines information has influenced policy and practice nationally and internationally - with invited presentations to the European Parliament Health Committee and the US Food and Drugs Administration. He was Practice Chairman of the Royal Pharmaceutical Conference in 2007, and in 2010 was appointed to the Royal Pharmaceutical Society 'Expert Advisory Panel on Pharmaceutical Science'.

Theo co-founded the spin-out company Luto Research, which provides user-testing of patient information across the European Union.

The Fellowship will be conferred on him at a ceremony at Goldsmiths College, London on Monday 12 September.
